Tomb Raider - Sorry for the late review, Tomb Raider was on a waiting list after some other games I wanted to beat first! But I finally have played it and I must say it is very enjoyable. Im going to be comparing this game with Uncharted a lot, just because they are very similar and because everybody else has.
The game instantly throws you onto this mysterious island after giving you some background info as to what they are doing and trying to find. You immediately feel like this is a dangerous environment and you get a bit overwhelmed by just how big this game is. This is the major stand out in this game from Uncharted. You are in an open world, with fast travel options. The world also looks great!
I like the idea of hunting and looting things in the world to survive. You don't need to loot and hunt to actual survive, but you do need to do this to earn money and xp. Doing so will allow you to upgrade weapons and yourself as well. This is also a huge departure from Uncharted. You have much more options in how to play the game.
Combat feels pretty good, although it is a bit clunky at times. The game does rely a lot on quick time events though and they get very old, very fast.
